About The Position

Carvana is seeking an Experienced Auto Painter to prepare vehicles for customers at one of its vehicle reconditioning centers. The role requires professional automotive painting experience and skill in applying base coats, tri-coats, solid, metallic, and clear coats; blending adjacent panels; and paint correcting vehicles. The position is based in Houston, Texas, and is listed for the second shift. The painter works in a fast-paced, changing production environment and may be exposed to hot or cold weather. The role may require mandatory overtime based on business needs. Applicants must pass a background check; the role is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Carvana is an equal opportunity employer.

Requirements

At least 5 years of professional automotive painting experience.
Ability to physically operate vehicle equipment and tools.
Ability to lift up to 60 pounds independently.
At least 18 years of age.
Valid driver’s license; some positions may be subject to a Motor Vehicle Records check.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing production environment, sometimes with exposure to excessive heat or cold.
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Must pass a complete background check.
Use required safety equipment, which may include a face shield or goggles, non-slip shoes, gloves, a mask, and other protective garments and equipment.
