About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Painter for a second-shift position working Monday through Friday, 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM. The role includes color matching and formulating colors, mixing paint to proper ratios, and spray painting. Experience in the sign, automotive, or aircraft industry is relevant, with sign-industry experience preferred.

The painter prepares and cleans surfaces using masking, grit blasting, or chemical preparation; prepares paint accurately and tests its makeup using viscosity cups, thickness gauges, and gloss gauges; cleans the work area and handles and disposes of hazardous chemicals and waste safely; and maintains and troubleshoots paint equipment. The role also involves paint preparation in high-end automotive or industrial equipment environments and other duties as required.

Requirements

• 1–2 years of previous painting experience in high-end automotive or industrial equipment environments.
• Experience in fast-paced, high-production work environments.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team; self-motivated.
• Ability to use hand and power tools and equipment.
• Understanding of the chemistry and mixing of paint compounds.
• Ability to be medically and physically fitted for a respirator.
• May be required to stand for long periods and perform repetitive motions.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
• May be required to bend, stoop, squat, push, and pull parts and part containers.
• Must meet other safety-related requirements deemed necessary by the company.
