About The Position
Atlantic Coast Enterprises is hiring a full-time experienced Auto Mechanic / Automotive Technician in the Surfside Beach, South Carolina area. The role offers a five-day work week and hourly pay of $18–$24, depending on experience and certifications, rather than flat-rate pay. Technicians may also earn commissions paid every two weeks, typically ranging from $400 to $1,400 based on store-level automotive repair net sales. Hourly compensation and commissions may result in annual compensation above $100,000. Employees can earn one-time $500 bonuses for certifications earned while employed. The technician maintains and repairs customers’ vehicles, diagnoses mechanical problems, explains repair options clearly, and completes agreed-upon repairs. The role also includes regular vehicle maintenance and delivering fast, friendly, and professional customer service. Atlantic Coast Enterprises is a full-service lubrication, fluid, and automotive maintenance center. Requirements
- At least 18 years old.
- Current AATI or ASE certifications.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Brake work experience.
- Must have own tools.
- Honesty and reliability.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
- Service-oriented approach and attention to detail.
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues.
- Ability to explain technical information in layman’s terms.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose a range of mechanical problems in customers’ vehicles.
- Clearly explain repair options to customers and complete the agreed-upon repairs.
- Perform regular vehicle maintenance to keep vehicles in top condition.
- Provide fast, friendly, and professional customer service.
- Help strengthen customer relationships and maintain the company’s reputation for service.
