Journey’s layered MDX approach crafts story-driven, sensory-rich engagement across physical, immersive, digital, and virtual spaces—fueled by creative and technological innovation. The Experience Design Strategist will collaborate closely with studio leadership, architectural and interior designers, graphic designers and SME’s to co-author materials focused on exploring and identifying novel opportunities for our clients, their business, and their customers across a variety of project types. The design strategist conducts research, participates in client workshops and discovery sessions, develops strategic narratives, proposes design direction, and writes for brands, organisations, or customer-facing outlets. This specific role is geared towards a strategist with professional experience in interior or architectural design.

Requirements

  • B.Arch or B.A. Interior Design
  • 3+ years of post-graduate experience in a similar role
  • Stellar presentation and copywriting skills
  • Strong documentation skills using Google Slides, Adobe InDesign, and MS PowerPoint
  • Experience with 3D modelling software and spatial design knowledge
  • Experience with collaborative work platforms like Miro or Mural
  • Experience working independently and with multi-disciplinary teams
  • Experience self-managing deadlines and tasks.
  • Fully authorized to work in the U.S.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with established brands in retail, hospitality, entertainment, education, or healthcare industries is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with design team and external clients to understand their needs and translate them into design solutions.
  • Present and communicate design concepts effectively to clients.
  • Conduct research to gather insights and inspiration for design projects.
  • Provide feedback on details in every aspect of design to ensure optimal user experience.
  • Work with the design team to continuously refine and improve design elements to create memorable experiences.
  • Stay updated on market trends, consumer behavior, and emerging technologies relevant to experience design.
