About The Position

The Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) works in an outpatient dental setting in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, assisting dentists with restorative procedures, placing restorative materials, and performing expanded functions permitted under Pennsylvania law. The role also includes taking dental radiographs and providing compassionate, patient-centered care as part of a collaborative team of dentists, dental assistants, and clinical support staff. The organization is mission-driven and focused on improving access to dental care. Experienced EFDAs and new graduates are welcome.

The schedule is Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM, and Wednesday from 10 AM to 7 PM. Weekends are not required. The position uses Dentrix electronic dental records.

Requirements

• Active Pennsylvania Expanded Functions Dental Assistant license.
• Current Dental Assisting National Board (DANB) certification.
• Pennsylvania radiology certification.
• Comfort assisting with restorative procedures and placing restorative materials.
• Strong communication and patient care skills.
• Value teamwork and compassionate, patient-centered dental care.

Nice To Haves

• Previous Dentrix experience is preferred.
• Experienced EFDAs and new graduates are encouraged to apply.
