About The Position

Foundation Dental is hiring an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant to support dentists and provide compassionate care in a modern practice environment. The role includes helping patients feel comfortable, assisting with procedures, taking digital radiographs and intra-oral scans, maintaining infection control, and supporting smooth practice operations. The practice emphasizes patient health over sales and promotes a warm, supportive culture without production quotas. The listed schedule is Monday through Thursday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., and Friday, 8:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m. Benefits are available based on employment status and hours worked; all listed benefits are available to full-time employees working 30 or more hours weekly, with some benefits also available to part-time employees.

Requirements

Prior dental assisting experience.
Active EFDA license in good standing.
Any certification or license required by the state to perform specified duties.
A resume demonstrating a consistent and stable employment history.
Strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to deliver exceptional patient experiences.

Responsibilities

Welcome patients and help them feel comfortable and confident throughout their visit.
Support the dentist with various procedures.
Take digital radiographs and intra-oral scans as prescribed.
Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment in accordance with infection-control requirements.
Sanitize and prepare operatories for treatments.
Follow OSHA and safety policies to maintain a secure and healthy environment.
Educate patients on effective oral hygiene strategies as needed.
Perform office tasks as needed to support seamless practice operations.
