About The Position

Provides a variety of support to the Exhibit Programs including safeguarding building entrances/exits, answering questions from the public, and assisting with processing competitive entries. This is a seasonal/temporary position not to exceed 122 days. TO APPLY PLEASE VISIT: www.ocfair.com/jobs

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Previous experience working with the public.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Strong teamwork skills.
• Must be available to work all 23 days of the annual OC Fair.
• Must be available to work outside the normal business day/week/hours as required by events and programs.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a related field preferred.
• Some clerical experience preferred, including the ability to type, file, and answer phones.

Responsibilities

• During events, safeguards exhibits and watches building entrances and exits.
• Provides information about the exhibit to the public and answers questions about the exhibit, the event, and the property.
• May setup or arrange competitive entries for exhibition.
• May clean a variety of exhibit structures and props, prepares them for use, installs them where instructed, and dismantles at the end of an event.
• May be involved in receiving and preparing competitive entries for judging, and assists in the judging process as needed.
• May provide basic clerical assistance as needed.
• Dismantles competitive exhibits and returns entries to the public at the end of the event.
