About The Position

Active Spine and Joint Institute is seeking a full-time Exercise Specialist to join its multidisciplinary team of Chiropractic Physicians, Occupational Therapists, Nurse Practitioners, and Exercise Specialists. The role assists in providing care to patients at the Rio Grande, New Jersey office. The position is 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.

Active Spine and Joint Institute provides drug-free, non-surgical chiropractic, rehabilitation, and medical treatments. The company has operated for over 34 years and has four offices in South Jersey.

Requirements

• Ability to teach and motivate patients effectively.
• Strong customer service, teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of rehabilitation exercises.

Nice To Haves

• Education in Exercise Science or a related field, with knowledge of exercise, kinesiology, or health promotion; preferred but not required.
• Fitness certification; preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Actively assist patients through prescribed rehabilitation.
• Conduct functional movement screenings.
• Help patients with modalities.
• Fit orthotics.
• Educate patients.
• Take patient vitals.
• Explain rehabilitation exercises to patients.
• Provide floor supervision.
• Maintain equipment.
