Exercise Specialist Rio Grande
About The Position
Active Spine and Joint Institute is seeking a full-time Exercise Specialist to join its expanding multidisciplinary team of Chiropractic Physicians, Occupational Therapists, Nurse Practitioners, and Exercise Specialists. The role assists with providing care to patients and is based at the institute’s Rio Grande, New Jersey location. The position is 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday. Active Spine and Joint Institute is a multidisciplinary chiropractic, rehabilitation, and medical team that provides drug-free, non-surgical treatments to help patients get out of pain and become active again. The organization has operated for over 34 years, has four offices in South Jersey, and is continuing to expand.
Requirements
- Knowledge of rehabilitation exercises.
- Ability to teach and motivate patients effectively.
- Strong customer service, teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Nice To Haves
- Exercise Science or a related field with knowledge of exercise, kinesiology, or health promotion; preferred but not required.
- Fitness certification; preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Actively assist patients through prescribed rehabilitation.
- Perform functional movement screenings.
- Help patients with modalities.
- Fit orthotics.
- Educate patients.
- Take patient vitals.
- Explain rehabilitation exercises to patients.
- Provide floor supervision.
- Maintain equipment.
