The Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer (EVP, CFO) serves as the organization’s senior financial leader and is a strategic partner for both the Chief Executive Officer and the executive leadership team. The Chief Financial Officer is an expert in the current financial landscape of healthcare organizations, challenging payor reimbursement, government payors and relationships, and provides strategic financial guidance to executive leadership and senior management. The EVP, CFO will require strong performance and transformational management on a wide variety of financial strategy and operations and be an organizational expert in payer strategy, revenue optimization and performance management. The Chief Financial Officer is responsible for overseeing all financial functions, including financial planning and analysis, capital and operational budgeting, revenue cycle, accounting, and financial reporting to support the organization’s performance and long-term growth. In this role, the EVP, CFO partners closely with leaders across Connecticut Children’s and its affiliates to drive financial performance, inform enterprise decision-making, and align financial strategies with operational and strategic priorities. As a member of the Executive Management Team (EMT), the EVP, CFO contributes to organizational planning and ensures financial considerations are integrated into key initiatives and investments. The EVP, Chief Financial Officer will monitor changes in the healthcare landscape and regulatory environment, assesses financial risk and opportunity, and ensures the organization maintains strong financial stewardship while advancing its mission.
