About The Position

The Executive Steward oversees stewarding operations at Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort, leading the stewarding team and helping maintain clean, sanitary, and efficient kitchen and food-preparation environments. The role combines strategic management with hands-on involvement and supports daily culinary service and banquet events. The Executive Steward also works with management on operational efficiency and sustainability improvements.

Requirements

Ability to stand, walk, and move quickly for extended periods.
Ability to bend, kneel, and lift items weighing up to 50 pounds.
Comfort working in hot, humid, or wet environments, including dish areas and kitchens.
Ability to perform repetitive motions such as scrubbing or dishwashing.
Flexibility to work varying shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

Direct and oversee the stewarding team to maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in kitchens and food-preparation areas.
Develop and implement cleaning schedules, inventory-management processes, and operational policies.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
Coordinate with culinary and banquet teams to support daily service and events.
Train, mentor, and motivate stewarding staff.
Manage equipment and supply inventory and coordinate repairs or replacements as needed.
Collaborate with management to plan and implement efficiency and sustainability improvements.
