About The Position
Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort is seeking an Executive Steward to oversee stewarding operations for its culinary department. The role combines team leadership, operational management, and hands-on involvement to maintain clean and sanitary kitchens and food-preparation areas and support guest experiences, events, and daily service. The Executive Steward works with culinary, banquet, and management teams to support efficient operations and sustainability improvements.
Responsibilities
- Direct and oversee the stewarding team to maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in kitchens and food-preparation areas.
- Develop and implement cleaning schedules, inventory-management processes, and operational policies.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
- Work with culinary and banquet teams to support events and daily service.
- Train, mentor, and motivate stewarding staff.
- Manage equipment and supply inventory and coordinate repairs or replacements as needed.
- Collaborate with management on efficiency and sustainability improvements.
