The Executive Housekeeper directs and controls all housekeeping operations and the staff of the housekeeping department. This role requires coordination between housekeeping crews to inspect assigned areas and ensure standards are met. The Executive Housekeeper manages priorities, establishes and/or implements operating procedures and standards, and handles financial management tasks such as setting and adhering to a budget. This position also involves supporting staff and performing housekeeping duties when required. Additionally, it demands human resource management skills including hiring, training, scheduling, and evaluating team performance. The Executive Housekeeper is responsible for reporting maintenance deficiencies, handling guest requests or challenges, and ensuring the confidentiality and security of all guest rooms. Collaboration with the Chief Engineer and Front Office Manager on special projects is also part of the role. This industry operates seven days a week, twenty-four hours a day.
