Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related subject is required.
  • The ability to become licensed as an administrator for assisted living within a prescribed timeframe in states requiring such a license.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.
  • Position requires driving responsibilities (may use Company provided vehicle and/or personal vehicle).
  • Must satisfactorily meet and be in compliance with Company motor vehicle policy standards and Travel Policy.

Nice To Haves

  • Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in operations management with demonstrated success in meeting financial and sales goals preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Leading the community's day-to-day operations, including full profit and loss responsibility.
  • Planning, implementing, and evaluating all aspects of operations.
  • Recruiting and training team members and having direct supervisory responsibility for a high performing team of leaders in the disciplines of sales, care, hospitality, and resident engagement.
  • Fostering an environment of high customer satisfaction and ensuring a quality-oriented and engaged workforce.
  • Ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and focusing on creating a safe working and living environment.
  • Leading the development and implementation of all sales and operations strategies and tactics for the community consistent with Company objectives.
  • Regularly communicating performance with the Regional Vice President.
  • Actively partnering with Community Sales Director to assess competitive threats, sales plan, and engage in business-to-business sales calls.
  • Understanding the community's care regulations and supporting the resident care program by regularly meeting with the Resident Services Director to discuss and address department concerns.
  • Developing and implementing successful strategies regarding labor, occupancy growth, revenue growth, expense control, and quality of services, and reviewing and redirecting activity, if necessary.
  • Ensuring adherence to the Resident's Bill of Rights.
  • Responsible for interviewing, hiring, training, developing, and evaluating assigned staff. Team sizes can vary; average range is 65-80.
  • Constantly assessing resident needs in staffing levels.
  • Operating the community in accordance with Company policies and federal, state and local regulations.
  • Assisting in developing operational budgets and capital requirements, including forecasting and approving all expenses.
  • Acting as a liaison between field operations and the Support Center. Building strong relationships with Support Center resources.
  • Remaining active in local community activities. Establishing networks and resources for resident referrals.
  • Performing regular reviews of and making recommendations on all aspects of building construction and preventative maintenance.
  • Able to work in various positions in the community and willing and able to fill in as needed.
  • Building a high-performing team and keeping engagement high.
  • Meeting financial management requirements for the community.
  • Maintaining a safe working and living environment.
  • Actively participating in "in-house" sales activities, including prospective resident tours and special events.
  • May drive Company vehicle from community to social and other various destinations (only if required by community).
  • May perform other duties as needed and/or assigned.
