About The Position

The Executive Director acts as a representative of treatment staff and ensures staffing and scheduling of the staff. Capable of role modeling to the clients and staff. Helps to maintain strong program operations. Works together with staff to effectively meet the needs of the clients. Maintains positive relationships with clients and staff. Completes required trainings and mandatory training hours. Possess strong skills in pediatric mental health treatment and maintains a working knowledge of HIPAA, Licensing and CARF regulations. Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in Social Work or Mental Health Counseling, bachelor’s degree in social services field, or substantial professional experience surpassing academic qualifications
  • At least two years of experience in a mental/behavioral health center
  • At least one year of supervisory experience
  • Comprehensive understanding of mental health operations and mental health conditions in children
  • CPR certification and Handle with Care (HWC) within 30 days of employment.
  • Completion of additional mental health training within 30 days of employment.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees overall operations of assigned site(s) to ensure high‑quality client service delivery.
  • Ensures programs meet fiscal, quality, and performance targets.
  • Provides direct supervision, coaching, and accountability for Clinical Supervisors and Team Leads.
  • Monitors staff performance, documentation, and compliance; completes evaluations and corrective actions as needed.
  • Recruits, interviews, hires, orients, and trains new staff.
  • Manages staffing schedules to ensure appropriate coverage and continuity of client care.
  • Maintains clear, consistent communication with staff through meetings, logs, and written/verbal updates.
  • Ensures timely, accurate completion of all clinical and operational documentation.
  • Oversees a safe, therapeutic treatment environment, including crisis intervention and milieu management.
  • Evaluates client behavioral and emotional needs and provides clinical input as appropriate.
  • Addresses, investigates, and resolves parent/consumer complaints professionally to ensure satisfaction and compliance.
  • Coordinates trainings, staff meetings, and program activities to support effective service delivery.
  • Ensures staff are trained, scheduled, and compliant with required trainings and regulatory standards.
  • Provides direct client care when needed, including covering groups, sessions, or program vacancies.
  • Demonstrates ethical decision‑making, professionalism, impartial leadership, and performs other duties as assigned.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the mission and goals of Kids Thrive.
