About The Position

The Executive Chef will perform a variety of duties including: hands-on preparation, cooking, and serving of all foods for patients, the cafeteria, the doctors’ dining room, and all catering events. The Executive Chef will lead the production team and support our mission by providing safe, therapeutic, and innovative food to our patients, cafeteria, and catering services.

Requirements

High School Diploma or Equivalent
3 years’ experience in food operation
Working knowledge of POS system
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office; Word, Excel
Working knowledge of vendor ordering system
Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, to solve problems and make decisions.
Ability to stand and walk up to, or exceeding 8 hours per shift.
Ability to bend, squat and twist.
Frequently lift and move up to 25 pounds.
Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with proper body mechanics.
Spend up to 2 hours or more in front of computer, monitor or similar screen utilizing keyboard and/or mouse, daily.
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
Must have a keen sense of hearing and visual acuity.
Must be able to handle critical and highly stressful situations with efficiency and composure.

Nice To Haves

Culinary Associate degree or higher
Previous supervisory experience
Membership of the American Culinary Federation as a certified Executive Chef
Successfully complete ServSafe Manager course within 6 months, and maintain all certifications.

Responsibilities

Supervise Chef, Cooks, Retail Supervisor, and Cafeteria Associates.
