About The Position

The Arlington is seeking a hospitality-focused Executive Chef to lead food preparation, cooking, and baking activities. The role oversees dietary standards and the quality and nutritional value of food, while maintaining a positive and courteous work environment for staff and residents. As a key member of the culinary department’s management team, the Executive Chef follows policies and procedures and supports the community’s mission, philosophy, values, company vision, principles, and Hospitality Promises. The culinary leader oversees daily kitchen operations and creates an exceptional dining experience for residents.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of leadership experience as a Chef, Sous Chef, or Kitchen Manager.
• Current ServSafe® certification and required state certifications.
• Strong knowledge of culinary operations, menu planning, food safety, and budgeting.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while delivering exceptional service.

Nice To Haves

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts preferred.
• Experience in senior living, healthcare, hospitality, or food service preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, schedule, and develop kitchen team members.
• Recruit, hire, train, and support staff performance.
• Plan menus and oversee meal preparation for all levels of care.
• Ensure meals meet quality, presentation, dietary, and food safety standards.
• Engage with residents to gather feedback and improve dining services.
• Manage food ordering, receiving, inventory, and budget performance.
• Maintain compliance with sanitation, safety, and regulatory requirements.
• Promote hospitality, teamwork, and resident satisfaction.
• Coordinate food preparation, cooking, and baking activities.
• Maintain a positive, courteous work environment for staff and residents.
• Adhere to policies and procedures and uphold the community’s mission, philosophy, values, company vision, principles, and Hospitality Promises.
