About The Position

Sodexo Campus Services is looking for an Executive Chef 2 to join their team at Clark Atlanta University in Atlanta, GA. This is a complex operation with over 2,000 residential dining meal plan participants, featuring various just-in-time cooking formats. In addition to menu, safety, sanitation, and purchasing responsibilities, the individual will be expected to drive customized menu creativity, educational events, promotional and student engagement programming, and occasionally support catering operations. Sodexo provides food, nutrition, environmental, and facilities management solutions to college campuses, aiming to positively influence college students' well-being and create a healthy learning environment.

Requirements

Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
2 years minimum management experience
2 years minimum functional experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
A strong culinary background, with the demonstrated ability to stay current with new culinary trends
Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to maintain the highest of culinary standards
Strong coaching and employee development skills
A passion for food and innovation

Responsibilities

Be responsible for purchasing, menu compliance, inventory, food cost analysis and food production forecasting
Ensure Sodexo Culinary standards including recipe compliance and food quality are implemented
Have the ability and willingness to develop and motivate team members to embrace culinary innovations
Ensure food safety, sanitation and workplace safety standard compliance
Have working knowledge of automated food inventory, ordering, production and management systems
