About The Position
Sodexo is seeking an Executive Chef for UC Health Medical Center in Cincinnati, OH. The Executive Chef will manage all culinary operations for this hospital's patient feeding program. The Executive Chef will be a dynamic team player with a strong background in safety, sanitation, and managing frontline staff and developing large teams in a high-volume kitchen environment. Patient trayline experience is a huge plus!
Requirements
- A strong culinary background in a high-volume environment
- Strong management skills and experience with large teams
- Menu planning experience and a strong understanding of current culinary trends
- Proficient computer skills, highly organized, and detail-focused
- ServSafe Certified with proven working knowledge of HAACP
- Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
- 2 years minimum management experience
- 2 years minimum functional experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
Nice To Haves
- Patient trayline experience is a huge plus!
- A healthcare trayline background with understanding of special diets a huge plus!
Responsibilities
- Implement and standardize all culinary systems and procedures for patient dining program
- Manage, direct, and mentor frontline staff
- Procurement and purchasing
- Create menus
- Create interpersonal relationships with client
