About The Position

Sodexo is seeking an Executive Chef 2 at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor in Belton, TX. This is an exciting career opportunity for a talented, high-energy Executive Chef. The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor is a beautiful campus located in Belton, TX, approximately 2 hours south of Dallas/Fort Worth and 1 hour north of Austin. The selected chef will have the ability to execute full-service catering events for up to 500 people and will also be responsible for high-volume resident dining. Sodexo provides food, nutrition, environmental, and facilities management solutions to college campuses, enabling employees to positively influence college students' well-being and create a healthy learning environment.

Requirements

A strong culinary background, with the demonstrated ability to stay current with new culinary trends.
Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to maintain the highest of culinary standards.
Strong coaching and employee development skills.
A passion for food and innovation.
Associate's Degree or equivalent experience.
Minimum 2 years of management experience.
Minimum 2 years of work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.

Responsibilities

Be responsible for purchasing, menu compliance, inventory, food cost analysis and food production forecasting.
Ensure Sodexo Culinary standards including recipe compliance and food quality are implemented.
Have the ability and willingness to develop and motivate team members to embrace culinary innovations.
Ensure food safety, sanitation and workplace safety standard compliance.
Have working knowledge of automated food inventory, ordering, production and management systems.
