About The Position

True Food Kitchen is seeking an Executive Chef to lead kitchen operations and help create thoughtfully crafted dining experiences at a full-service restaurant. The role partners with front-of-house and back-of-house leadership to maximize sales and profitability through financial and operational management. The Executive Chef leads high-volume service, maintains food quality and safety, develops team members, and works with the General Manager to manage restaurant staff.

Requirements

At least 5 years of management experience in a high-volume, full-service restaurant.
Strong financial acumen, including expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
Passion for hospitality and creating memorable dining experiences.
Ability to thrive under pressure and handle last-minute requests.
Caring, self-motivated leadership approach that inspires excellence through coaching and accountability.

Responsibilities

Partner with FOH and BOH leadership to maximize sales and profitability through P&L, inventory, and cash flow management.
Lead high-volume service from the floor or expo, ensuring food quality, presentation, and guest interaction.
Conduct line checks, facility walks, and follow-ups to maintain operational excellence.
Oversee EcoSure and health inspections to ensure a safe, compliant kitchen.
Manage, develop, and inspire FOH and BOH teams in partnership with the General Manager, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management.
Spend significant time in the kitchen providing hands-on leadership and team development across all stations.
Coach and mentor managers and key hourly team members to create pathways for growth.
