About The Position

Sodexo has an opening for an Executive Chef 1 for Colorado Academy located in Denver, CO. This is a unique opportunity for a creative, food-focused culinarian who values work/life balance. Colorado Academy is a prestigious private pre-K -12 college preparatory school with an exceptional 96-acrea campus community. Sodexo provides 1300 lunches a day for students and staff as well as busy high-end catering. Caterings can range from daily continental breakfasts to plated dinners for 750 and upscale BBQs for 2000. Your culinary innovation and training will be appreciated. We are seeking candidates who are passionate leader who can drive and foster a positive culture amongst a great team!

Requirements

A strong culinary background, with the demonstrated ability to stay current with new culinary trends
Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to maintain the highest of culinary standards
Strong coaching and employee development skills
Have a passion for food and innovation
Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
2 years Minimum Management Experience
1 year work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.

Responsibilities

Be responsible for purchasing, menu compliance, inventory, food cost analysis and food production forecasting
Ensure Sodexo Culinary standards including recipe compliance and food quality are implemented
Have the ability and willingness to develop and motivate team members to embrace culinary innovations
Ensure food safety, sanitation and workplace safety standard compliance
Have working knowledge of automated food inventory, ordering, production and management systems
