About The Position

DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Portland in Portland, Maine is seeking an experienced Executive Chef to lead its culinary team and oversee kitchen operations. The chef will bring creativity, leadership, and a commitment to quality, safety, and guest satisfaction while developing menus that reflect the brand’s vision and customer preferences. The role includes managing daily kitchen operations, staff, inventory, ordering, and costs, as well as collaborating with management on budgeting, staffing, and strategic planning. Previous hotel experience is requested. A culinary degree or equivalent professional training is preferred.

Requirements

Proven experience as an Executive Chef or in a similar leadership role in a high-volume culinary environment.
Exceptional culinary skills and a strong understanding of various cuisines and cooking techniques.
Excellent leadership, communication, and team management abilities.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple priorities effectively.
Previous hotel experience.
