About The Position

Normal Computing is an applied AI company developing foundational hardware and software for the semiconductor industry, critical AI infrastructure, and broader systems. The Executive Business Partner will provide dedicated executive support on the West Coast to a small group of senior leaders based in or frequently traveling through the Bay Area, supporting no more than three to four executives at a time. The role partners closely with a New York-based Executive Business Partner to provide coordinated coverage across time zones and seamless handoffs during travel, PTO, and off-hours. The position owns executives’ calendars, inboxes, travel, and expenses, including complex international itineraries and last-minute changes. It requires sound judgment, discretion, proactive anticipation of needs, and strong communication. The Executive Business Partner will also help establish Normal’s Bay Area presence by hosting visitors and building a local network of logistics vendors, and will travel to leadership offsites and major customer, conference, board, and other external engagements to provide onsite support. The working rhythm is flexible and includes occasional unusual-hour needs, but is not 24/7.

Requirements

Experience as an Executive Assistant, Executive Business Partner, or equivalent at a major technology company supporting senior executives.
Experience handling highly confidential information with discretion and sound judgment.
Proactive and anticipatory approach to identifying and addressing needs without waiting for direction.
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple executives, time zones, and workstreams without dropping details.
Strong communication skills by phone, in writing, and in person, including writing in executives’ voices and accommodating formal communication norms.
Confidence navigating international travel, time zones, currencies, and visa logistics, and resolving problems in unfamiliar locations.
Comfort with ambiguity and startup pace, including building processes as needed.
Willingness to travel to leadership offsites and major customer or conference events, and to handle occasional off-hours needs.

Nice To Haves

Experience supporting founders or executives in deep-tech, AI, or hard-science startup environments.

Responsibilities

Manage executives’ calendars, inboxes, travel, and expenses end-to-end.
Coordinate complex multi-leg international travel across the United States, Europe, and Asia, including time-zone calculations, last-minute changes, and re-bookings.
Act as an extension of supported executives, align on priorities, represent them externally in the appropriate tone, and protect confidential personal, financial, and strategic information.
Anticipate scheduling conflicts, customer-visit gaps, and other logistical needs before they become problems.
Resolve travel and logistics issues by coordinating with airlines, hotels, restaurants, and car services.
Partner with the New York-based Executive Business Partner to provide backup coverage across both coasts and maintain shared visibility and seamless handoffs.
Help anchor Normal’s presence in the Bay Area by hosting visiting executives, candidates, partners, and customers.
Partner with the Workplace Operations Manager to help make the workspace feel like Normal wherever leadership lands.
Build a local network of restaurants, venues, car services, and vendors for executive logistics.
Travel to leadership offsites and major customer or conference engagements to provide onsite executive support.
Coordinate executive participation in conferences, board meetings, and other external engagements.
Maintain a flexible working rhythm, including occasional support at unusual hours without making 24/7 availability the norm.
