About The Position

The Executive Assistant in the Office of Legal Affairs provides high-level administrative support to the Senior Associate Vice President and Deputy General Counsel (SAVP & DGC). This role manages and oversees administrative functions of the SAVP & DGC’s office, researches information, and provides guidance and recommendations on a broad range of issues, including labor and employment legal services and special projects. The Executive Assistant serves as the primary liaison between the SAVP & DGC and university leadership, including the Office of Human Resources, Wexner Medical Center leadership, deans, senior administrators, and key stakeholders across the university. The position also interfaces with members of The Ohio State University Board of Trustees and external partners as appropriate, managing highly sensitive and confidential information with sound judgment. The role provides executive-level administrative and operational support in a complex, fast-paced legal environment, assessing priorities and coordinating a demanding calendar of meetings and commitments. The Executive Assistant evaluates inquiries directed to the SAVP & DGC, determines the appropriate course of action, and delegates or responds accordingly, while also supporting the coordination of leadership meetings and cross-functional initiatives across legal practice areas.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent experience.
  • Two (2) years of relevant experience required.

Nice To Haves

  • Two to four (2-4) years of relevant experience preferred.

Responsibilities
