About The Position

At Wycliffe Bible Translators, your work is more than just a job. As an executive assistant for Global Partnerships (GP), you’ll be responsible for providing executive administrative support to a global multi-cultural leadership team. You will manage priorities, ensure follow-through on projects, oversee complex calendars and relate to global partners on leadership’s behalf. As a strategic administrative partner, this position provides comprehensive administrative support to Global Partnerships leaders, helping them maximize their time to advance the organization's mission. You will be a trusted partner who coordinates key initiatives and strengthens relationships with internal and external partners. You’ll represent Global Partnerships leadership, partnering with other team members to: - Serve the Church – Being inspired and directed by the Church, responding to what God is calling the Church to do and reflecting the body of Christ working interdependently rather than independently. - Investing in Sustainability – Strengthening local leadership, governance and financial capacity so Bible translation movements are locally owned, spiritually vibrant and operationally resilient for generations to come. - Achieve All Access Goals 2033 – That by the year 2033: 95% of all people will have access to a complete Bible. 99.9% of all people will have access to a New Testament. 100% of all people will have access to at least a portion of the Scriptures. Overview of Global Partnerships Engagement Committed to an understanding of Bible translation as a fundamental activity in God's mission and believing that God calls us to reflect His character and attributes as we participate in His mission, Global Partnerships Engagement (GPE) seeks to be a platform for collaboration in the Bible translation movement. We desire for organizations to participate and explore new ways to collaborate and work interdependently. Through this collaborative model, Global Partnerships Engagement seeks to advance the mission by leveraging individuals' motivation and accountability within the language community and by contributing to their capacity building.

Requirements

  • Availability for occasional early morning, evening and weekend events and meetings as required.
  • Up to 10% domestic and international travel.
  • Ability to stand and work extended hours during events.
  • Must comply with all applicable health and travel requirements, including required vaccinations for international travel and adherence to travel regulations.

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field plus 3–5 years of advanced executive administrative support experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
  • Cross-cultural experience and agility required.
  • Nonprofit or ministry experience required.
  • Demonstrate a personal commitment to Jesus Christ, as evidenced by your personal testimony.
  • Identify with and participate in a church and proactively seek to grow your faith in Christ.
  • Establish and maintain a team of prayer partners who will support you in your season of ministry at Wycliffe (minimum 3-5 partners).
  • Actively participate in corporate prayer and devotional times.
  • Maintain an exemplary standard of biblical ethics, behavior and conduct within Wycliffe and in your public and private life outside of Wycliffe.

Responsibilities

  • Faithfully and regularly pray for the ongoing work of Bible translation and for people from around the world to experience transformation.
  • Act as an organizational representative presenting the global ministry of Wycliffe and encouraging interested individuals, organizations and churches to participate in the work of Bible translation.
  • Work with the Global Partnerships leadership team to understand their support needs.
  • Collaborate with leadership to develop plans for appropriate coverage, ensuring follow-through on key projects.
  • Provide executive support to a global multi-cultural executive team.
  • Manage complex and detailed calendars that prioritize key relationships and organizational needs.
  • Proactively anticipate needs and independently mitigate administrative and logistical challenges.
  • Support leadership in thinking through potential challenges and providing solutions.
  • Coordinate internal and outgoing mail and/or email. Screens mail for crucial and confidential matters requiring immediate attention.
  • As requested, draft responses that reflect cultural sensitivities.
  • Demonstrate poise and tact under pressure and handle matters with sound judgment and confidentiality.
  • Engage in effective project management that supports the executive and advances strategic priorities, and manages the completion of projects.
  • Develop reports and presentations that align with branding and communication guidelines.
  • Ensure communications reflect the priorities of Global Partnerships and the voice of the leadership team.
  • Provide scheduling and meeting support, assisting with travel, logistics or documentation as requested.
  • Assist with global events as required.
  • Complete routine administrative operations.
  • Process expense reports, invoices and reimbursements accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Manage internal and external meeting logistics, including hospitality, travel, and virtual setup.
  • Coordinate across departments and organizations to fulfill executive needs.
  • Maintain awareness of the Global Partnership workflow and cross-train with other administrative and event staff.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Vice President of Global Partnerships Engagement and Global Partnerships leadership team.
