About The Position
This role provides strategic administrative support to the Dean and Faculty General Manager within the Monash Arts faculty, which is a globally ranked Top 1% Faculty in Humanities and Social Sciences. The position is based at the Clayton campus and includes hybrid working arrangements. Monash Arts is one of Australia’s largest and most vibrant arts faculties, renowned for its breadth across the humanities, performing arts, languages and social sciences. The Faculty delivers world-class programs through six schools and across six campuses, spanning undergraduate to postgraduate study and research. The academic community is distinguished by its research excellence and deep engagement, bringing cutting-edge scholarship into the classroom to inspire the next generation of global thinkers and leaders.
Requirements
- Highly organised and detail-oriented
- Strong multi-tasker with the ability to manage competing priorities
- Experience managing senior stakeholders
- Experience supporting written communication, presentations and reports for senior stakeholders
- Resourceful and solutions focused
- Ability to manage complex administrative priorities
- Highly developed computer literacy, including experience using business software such as Microsoft Office and Google Suite, including generative AI tools

- Experience providing excellent and professional administrative and executive support services in a busy and complex environment
Responsibilities
- Providing high-level executive support to the Dean and Faculty General Manager including diary management, travel coordination and meeting management
- Preparing, editing and coordinating briefings, presentations, reports and minutes as required
- Using Google suite applications and other internal systems and technologies
- Acting as the key liaison point between the Faculty Executive Team and external stakeholders
- Providing advice and responsive client service on Faculty matters while exercising discretion and sound judgement
