About The Position

The position will work closely with the HR department on topics such as onboarding, employee engagement, and daily administrative tasks. When additional time is available, the role will also support the Plant Manager. The ideal candidate will have a strong sense of confidentiality, prior office experience, and an interest in HR.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in Business Administration (Bachelors preferred)
  • 4-5+ years of clerical, secretarial, or office experience
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to interact with executive level personnel
  • Comfortable with routinely shifting demands
  • High degree of attention to detail
  • Data entry experience
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality

Responsibilities

  • Greet visitors and point them in the right direction, answer inquiries, and create a welcoming environment
  • Works on assignments requiring considerable judgment and initiative. Understands implications of work and makes recommendations for solutions
  • Handle administrative needs for other professionals, including the Site Leader, the HR Site Leader, the Operations Manager, the Finance Leader and the Purchasing Leader
  • Schedule and coordinate staff and other meetings, assist with meeting preparation, set up and accommodations
  • Prepare communications such as memos, emails, invoices, reports and other correspondence
  • Order office supplies and equipment as necessary. Maintain supply cabinet inventory and organization
  • Prepare spreadsheets, reports and presentations, as needed
  • Assist HR with new hire orientation and other paperwork related to new employees
  • Making travel arrangements, such as booking flights, cars, and making hotel and restaurant reservations
