Brown Gibbons Lang & Company (BGL), a leading independent investment bank and financial advisory firm focused on the global middle market, is seeking an Executive Assistant to join their growing team. As an Executive Assistant at BGL, you will be entrusted with a high level of confidentiality to provide administrative support to a team of bankers including senior leaders such as Managing Directors and Directors. You will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment and must be able to manage calendars and travel for multiple Executives. Location: This position is located onsite in our Chicago office.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 5-7 years of prior administrative support experience
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to keep confidentiality and maintain discretion
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional self-motivation and a drive to achieve excellence
  • Strong Microsoft Office Suite experience (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Team player

Responsibilities

  • Sending communications to potential clients on behalf of our Managing Directors/Directors
  • Set up prospecting meetings with clients
  • Manage domestic and international travel: airfare, car rental/car service, hotel, restaurant reservations, conference registrations, etc.
  • Prepare PowerPoint presentations for meetings and strategic planning
  • Schedule meetings and conference calls
  • Manage Executive contact lists
  • Process expenses, keep expense logs and reconcile credit card statements
  • Ad hoc project-based work
