About The Position
Shirley is seeking an Excavator Operator to operate heavy equipment at various jobsites. The role includes maintaining and cleaning equipment, reporting deficiencies, and performing manual labor tasks as needed to support projects. Operators are expected to meet the company’s health and safety requirements and maintain positive working relationships with customers and coworkers. Work takes place outdoors in all seasons. Start times vary between 6:00 AM and 7:00 AM; overtime, nights, and weekends may be required. This is a full-time, year-round position.
Requirements
- Experience operating heavy equipment; an onsite try-out will be conducted.
- Work outdoors in all seasons.
- Pass a pre-employment physical and drug screening.
- Be at least 18 years of age.
- Be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
Nice To Haves
- GPS/UTS experience.
Responsibilities
- Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, loaders, dozers, and motor graders.
- Perform general maintenance, including greasing, checking fluid levels, and cleaning tracks.
- Clean equipment daily.
- Report deficiencies to the foreman immediately.
- Perform manual labor tasks related to supporting projects.
- Ensure the company’s health and safety culture, policies, and requirements are met.
- Establish and maintain positive working relationships with customers and coworkers.
