About The Position

Taggart Construction Limited is looking for an experienced Excavator Operator to join their field team on water and sewer infrastructure projects across the Ottawa region. For over 75 years, Taggart Construction has been building essential infrastructure. In this role, the operator will safely and efficiently operate excavators to support the installation of sanitary, storm, and watermain systems. Requirements

• Experienced excavator operator with a strong background in heavy civil construction.
• Water, sewer, and site servicing experience is required.
• Valid driver’s licence and ability to travel to various job sites across the Ottawa region.

Responsibilities

• Operate excavators on watermain, sanitary sewer, storm sewer, road, and site servicing projects.
• Dig trenches, work to line and grade, support pipe crews, and operate safely around underground utilities.
• Keep projects moving by working closely with forepersons, pipelayers, labourers, and other operators.
• Complete equipment checks, identify issues early, and take pride in safe, clean, productive work.
