About The Position

Vogel Bros. Building Co. is seeking an Equipment Operator/Tradesman for its water and wastewater construction work in Pasco County, Florida. The role is hands-on and fast-paced, supporting the construction of community infrastructure. The operator is responsible for the quality and completion of assigned tasks in compliance with the company’s Quality Control and Safety Programs. Reliable transportation to jobsites is required.

Requirements

Excavator experience.
Pipeline experience.
Time management skills.
Interpersonal skills.
Experience with construction foundation preparation.
Knowledge of tools, materials, and safe work practices.
Valid driver’s license.
Reliable transportation to travel to jobsites.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently and perform manual labor outdoors.
Teamwork, sound judgment, and problem-solving skills.

Nice To Haves

Experience with water and wastewater construction.
Certifications on equipment.

Responsibilities

Operate and maintain heavy equipment, including excavators, loaders, dozers, backhoes, and forklifts.
Perform manual construction tasks when not operating equipment, including digging, grading, formwork, concrete work, and pipe installation.
Follow safety procedures, attend safety meetings, and model safe operations.
Keep equipment, tools, and work areas clean and maintained.
Communicate with supervisors to help keep projects on track and meet quality standards.
Complete assigned tasks in accordance with the company’s Quality Control and Safety Programs.
