About The Position

Shirley Contracting Company, LLC is hiring Excavator Operators to join its dirt and utility crews. Operators work at various jobsites and operate heavy equipment, perform routine equipment maintenance and cleaning, report deficiencies, and support projects with related manual labor. The role requires working outdoors in all seasons and following the company’s health and safety policies and requirements. Start times vary between 6:00 AM and 7:00 AM; overtime, nights, and weekends may be required. This is a full-time, year-round position. Applicants must be at least 18 years old and currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. The hourly range is $22.00–$35.00; compensation may vary based on factors including education, experience, skills, and geographic location.

Requirements

Experience operating heavy equipment; an onsite try-out will be conducted.
Work outdoors in all seasons.
Pass a pre-employment physical and drug screening.
Be at least 18 years of age.
Be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Nice To Haves

GPS/UTS experience.

Responsibilities

Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, loaders, dozers, and motor graders.
Perform general maintenance, including greasing, checking fluid levels, and cleaning tracks.
Clean equipment daily.
Report deficiencies to the foreman immediately.
Perform manual labor tasks related to supporting projects as needed.
Ensure the company’s health and safety culture, policies, and requirements are met.
Establish and maintain positive working relationships with customers and co-workers.
