EVS - Waste & Recycling | Hospital part-time
About The Position
Find your purpose joining CentraCare and the St. Cloud Hospital on our Cleaning Team (EVS) working to keep our patients safe and our facilities clean. We are seeking a qualified morning shift worker with good communication skills for this part-time Waste & Recycling position. (This is not housekeeping). In this role, you will receive, sort, and dispose of all hospital infectious, Pathological, recycling and general solid waste. This position will require a lot of activity, a lot of steps and plenty of hustle! You will need to communicate fluently in this position as you will have direct contact with patients, families, doctors, nurses and other staff members that will need to conduct conversations with you in English.
Requirements
- Ability to read, write simple task requests and reports, and communicate well with others required.
- Ability to take initiative and work independently.
- Excellent time management skills and detail-oriented.
- Must be at least 18 years of age due to handling of cleaning chemicals and operating mechanical lifts.
- High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
- Communicate fluently in English.
Responsibilities
- Receive, sort, and dispose of all hospital infectious, Pathological, recycling and general solid waste.
- Work with chemicals and come in contact with bodily fluids.
- Communicate fluently in English with patients, families, doctors, nurses, and other staff members.
Benefits
- Wage rates start at $20.31 per hour offering more with experience.
- Full pay range for this position is $18.06 to $27.07 hourly.
- Weekend shift differential is + $1.05 per hour.
