In this role, you'll inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain a variety of waste handling and recycling equipment at customer locations and shop facilities. Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in industrial maintenance, heavy equipment repair, or field service.
  • Experience troubleshooting hydraulic, electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics and hydraulic diagrams.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and independent troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Current DOT Medical Card (or ability to obtain one).
  • Basic computer skills for service reporting and documentation.
  • Ability to lift 50–75 pounds regularly.
  • Ability to work in industrial environments around heavy machinery, dust, noise, grease, and moving equipment.

Nice To Haves

  • Technical school education or mechanical certification.
  • Experience servicing: Waste equipment, Recycling equipment, Heavy industrial machinery
  • Welding and fabrication experience.
  • Mobile field service experience.
  • CDL is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain: Compactors, Balers, Conveyors, Shredders, Roll-off equipment
  • Perform preventative maintenance inspections and scheduled service repairs.
  • Troubleshoot and repair: Hydraulic systems, Electrical systems, Pneumatic systems, Mechanical components
  • Replace hydraulic hoses, cylinders, motors, pumps, bearings, switches, structural components, and related parts.
  • Perform welding and light fabrication repairs as needed.
  • Read and interpret service manuals, blueprints, electrical schematics, hydraulic diagrams, and work orders.
  • Install and commission new waste and recycling equipment.
  • Respond to emergency service calls and equipment breakdowns.
  • Maintain accurate service reports, inspection records, and parts documentation.
  • Operate service vehicles, forklifts, diagnostic equipment, and tools safely.
  • Communicate repair findings and maintenance recommendations with customers.
  • Follow OSHA regulations and company safety procedures at all times.
