EVS Tech II Full Time (3:00p-11:30p)
About The Position
The Environmental Services (EVS) Technician II provides a safe care environment for patients, staff, and visitors, using additional education and training in cleaning, disinfection, infectious and solid waste handling, and maintenance of hard surfaces with specialized equipment. The role supports quality assurance efforts to reduce harmful pathogens and contributes to cleaning, disinfection, and infection prevention in accordance with organizational quality standards and AORN Guidelines. The technician may interact with patients, visitors, and family members, with contact that may involve physical, psychological, educational, and safety-related considerations appropriate to the patient demographics in assigned specialty service areas. The role is responsible for timely patient-room turns that support patient throughput and includes expanded responsibilities for maintaining hard floors and carpet and completing specialty projects as needed. The position is full-time, scheduled 3:00 p.m.–11:30 p.m., and requires working every other weekend.
