About The Position
Lemontree Healthcare is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented EVS Housekeeper to join its Environmental Services team at Coral Gables Hospital. The role maintains the cleanliness, safety, and appearance of patient rooms, public areas, and other designated spaces in the healthcare facility. It supports a safe and healthy environment for patients, staff, and visitors by meeting cleanliness and infection-control standards. This is a full-time position scheduled from 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., Monday through Friday and every other weekend. Duties include cleaning and disinfecting areas, caring for floors, removing waste and soiled linens, maintaining supplies and equipment, interacting respectfully with patients and visitors, reporting quality or safety concerns, and following facility policies and infection-prevention protocols. The role requires the ability to lift up to 25 pounds, push and pull heavy carts, and stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods. The position operates in a fast-paced environment and involves handling multiple tasks. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred; relevant housekeeping or healthcare environmental-services experience is a plus but is not required. Nice To Haves

Responsibilities
- Clean and disinfect patient rooms, bathrooms, offices, hallways, and public areas in accordance with infection-control and cleaning standards.
- Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors using appropriate techniques to maintain cleanliness and safety.
- Empty trash, replace liners, transport waste to disposal areas, collect soiled linens, and deliver them to laundry facilities.
- Monitor and restock cleaning supplies, and report shortages or issues to the EVS Supervisor.
- Follow safety protocols, including using personal protective equipment, and ensure cleaning equipment is maintained and functioning properly.
- Provide friendly and respectful service to patients, visitors, and staff while protecting patient confidentiality and dignity.
- Respond to special cleaning requests in patient care areas.
- Assist with quality assurance checks and report cleanliness concerns or safety hazards to the EVS Supervisor or Manager.
- Follow healthcare facility policies, state regulations, and infection-prevention protocols.
