About The Position
The Environmental Services Director oversees the environmental services department, including housekeeping, laundry, plant operations, and maintenance. The role manages staff selection, training, development, and performance; manages the department budget; and participates in strategic planning for the community. The director also manages facility maintenance, general repairs, construction work, and general repairs to residents’ equipment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license as appropriate and an acceptable driving record that meets BHS requirements.
- Two years of building maintenance experience.
- Possess or have the ability to obtain a minimum of a Special boiler’s license for campuses utilizing boilers.
- Understanding of basic mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems.
Nice To Haves
- Associate’s degree in the Building Maintenance field.
- Previous experience in a health care setting.
- Five years of manager experience.
