About The Position

The Genesys Americas Integrated Marketing team is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Events Specialist to support the planning and execution of our events program. Events are a critical driver of demand generation and pipeline growth, and this role will play an important part in delivering high-quality, on-brand experiences across in-person, virtual, and third-party events. This role is ideal for an early-career marketer who is passionate about event execution, logistics, and operations. The Events Specialist will work closely with Event Managers, Field Marketing, Global Events, Sales, and external vendors to help execute a robust calendar of events while ensuring operational excellence and a positive attendee experience. The right candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, has a strong attention to detail, and is eager to learn end-to-end event marketing best practices while supporting high-impact programs. This role offers hands-on experience supporting a high-impact events program at Genesys, where events play a critical role in driving demand, pipeline, and customer engagement. You’ll work closely with experienced event marketers and cross-functional teams, gain exposure to large-scale Tier 1 events and regional programs, and build a strong foundation in end-to-end event execution. Requirements

  • 1–3 years of experience in event marketing, field marketing, or a related role
  • Exposure to conferences, trade shows, field events, or virtual events, with an interest in learning full-cycle event management.
  • Strong organizational and project coordination skills, with high attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Ability to execute event logistics and support programs with guidance in a fast-paced environment.
  • Collaborative mindset with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work cross-functionally with internal teams and external vendors.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a proactive and solutions-oriented approach.
  • Adaptable, reliable, and eager to learn, with a strong sense of ownership for assigned responsibilities.
  • Ability and willingness to travel and work extended hours during events as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • B2B technology or software experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce, Asana, and/or event or marketing technology platforms is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or a related field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support the planning and execution of North America events, including Genesys-hosted events, third-party conferences, trade shows, field events, and virtual experiences.
  • Assist Event Managers with event logistics and coordination, including timelines, registration management, vendor coordination, shipping, on-site support, and post-event follow-up.
  • Help maintain the Americas events calendar and support coordination across internal teams to ensure alignment and visibility.
  • Support execution of event playbooks, sales activation kits, and materials to enable sales engagement and follow-up.
  • Assist with tracking event-related expenses and invoices and support budget tracking with guidance from Event Managers.
  • Support collection and tracking of event performance metrics, including attendance, engagement, pipeline contribution, and feedback.
  • Partner with Field Marketing, Global Events, Sales, and other internal teams to support seamless event execution and communication.
  • Support communications related to events, including internal updates, event snapshots, and coordination of post-event materials.
  • Provide on-site and virtual event support as needed, including setup, registration, and day-of coordination.
