The Department of Chemistry is seeking a highly organized and collaborative professional to lead the planning and delivery of high-impact events and programs that advance departmental priorities. The Events & Program Specialist serves as a project manager for a variety of important initiatives, coordinating cross-functional teams and external partners to execute engaging student, donor, and industry events. This position also serves as a program manager for administrative, student services, and advancement programs. The ideal candidate will oversee all phases of event and project management, including planning, budgeting, execution, and evaluation. Responsibilities include developing detailed project plans, managing timelines and resources, analyzing outcomes, and continuously improving processes to enhance event effectiveness. This position also manages program budgets, procurement, and financial reporting to ensure responsible stewardship of resources. This role builds and maintains strong relationships with internal stakeholders, faculty, staff, students, and external partners such as donors, vendors, and industry representatives. The position also contributes to communications efforts by developing multimedia content that supports program goals and enhances audience engagement.
