Events Marketing Manager

Pivotal HealthLos Angeles, CA
$105,000 - $120,000Hybrid

About The Position

Pivotal Health is seeking an Events Marketing Manager to own and execute their growing event and conference program. This role involves managing all aspects of event logistics, from planning and booth setup to vendor coordination, marketing materials, internal communication, and post-event follow-up. The position requires a proactive individual who can drive business demand through events, work directly with leadership, and build repeatable, scalable event infrastructure. Approximately 60% of the role focuses on field marketing and events, with the remaining 40% dedicated to broader marketing support within a small, high-output team. This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives in a startup environment and is not looking for a pre-defined playbook.

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of experience in B2B event coordination, field marketing, or a closely related role, ideally at a startup in tech or healthcare.
  • Experience running events, not just assisting with them.
  • Proven ability to handle on-the-ground event challenges and problem-solve effectively.
  • Proactive and self-directed work style; ability to identify needs and take action without explicit direction.
  • Comfortable working directly with sales and senior leadership.
  • Proficient in HubSpot or a comparable marketing automation platform.
  • Fluent in spreadsheets, particularly for budget tracking.
  • Experience with project management tools like Asana or Notion.
  • Startup-oriented mindset, willing to build processes and infrastructure.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in B2B SaaS or healthcare/health tech.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce for tracking event-sourced leads and pipeline attribution.
  • Experience with Figma or Canva for creating or editing event assets.

Responsibilities

  • Own conference logistics end-to-end, including booth design, staffing, vendor coordination, materials shipping, and on-site problem-solving.
  • Evaluate and prioritize the event calendar in partnership with the Sr. Events Marketing Manager and sales team.
  • Manage internal prep and communications for events, briefing stakeholders and coordinating schedules.
  • Build and maintain event infrastructure, including tracking spreadsheets, vendor rosters, and budget sheets.
  • Execute logistics for Pivotal-run hosted events such as networking dinners and roundtables.
  • Drive integrated event marketing through pre- and post-event email campaigns, LinkedIn content, and on-site assets.
  • Produce event collateral and assets, including one-pagers, signage, and digital materials.
  • Partner with subject matter experts and leadership to identify and support thought leadership opportunities, such as speaking sessions and panels.
  • Coordinate post-event lead follow-up with sales, document learnings, and track ROI metrics.

Benefits

  • Competitive compensation, including equity
  • Full health, dental, and vision coverage
  • Retirement savings plan through 401(k)
  • Flexible time off
  • Opportunities for company-wide connection and events
