About The Position

Surly hosts events that guests will always remember. And a big part of that is our food. We are looking for an Events Cook in the Beer Hall at Surly Brewing! Our ideal candidate is someone with a passion for food and providing experiences. This role will work closely with our Events Chef for events in our private spaces in the Beer Hall.

Requirements

Passion for cooking
Excellent knife and other food preparation skills
Experience cooking in a high-volume from scratch restaurant setting
Highly organized and ability to prioritize tasks
Ability to work well under pressure
Motivated individual who requires little to no supervision
Accept direction and constructive criticism from management
Thrive in a fast-paced environment
Team-player
Open availability
Punctuality
Possessing a positive and flexible attitude at work
Self-starting, must be able to work independently, with or without supervision
Working cleanly, always keeping the station organized
Ability to communicate in a fast-moving environment

Spanish a plus but not required

Responsibilities

Work closely with the Events Chef for events in private spaces in the Beer Hall.
Perform other duties assigned as needed.
Be crossed trained in other kitchen areas.
