Events & Community Lead

Fifth DimensionNew York, NY

About The Position

The real-assets industry runs on fragmented systems, disconnected data and a huge amount of manual work. At Fifth Dimension, we’re building the decision intelligence platform for real-assets investors and managers, helping teams move faster, surface better insight and make more confident investment decisions. We’ve recently raised a $26M Series A led by HV Capital and are expanding across the US and APAC. Now we’re hiring our first dedicated Growth Lead. Not to ‘run marketing’. To help us figure out how enterprise growth should actually work here. We’re at the stage where there’s real momentum, but still plenty to build. We’re looking for someone who enjoys creating structure, improving systems and helping turn early GTM signals into a more scalable growth engine. Events at 5D do has two jobs, and this role owns both. The long play is community: building the rooms, relationships and reputation that take 5D from interesting to indispensable in real assets. The short play is pipeline: using events to pull prospects through the top and middle of the funnel, getting us in front of the right people at the right moment, and moving real opportunities forward. You'll own our events for prospects, primarily in NYC and the wider US real-estate hub cities, and increasingly in Singapore and the rest of APAC. You'll own how 5D shows up at external events, from the big forums like CREtech and PERE down to local sessions like Bisnow. And you'll own the relationships with the industry bodies that give us a platform in both regions. It's a role with real range. You'll happily get into the weeds of delivery, and you'll bring enough experience to be trusted to shape where we invest and why. You'll be building this function from the ground up, so you'll also create the playbook that scales it, and grow as the function does.

Requirements

  • Delivered B2B events, programmes or campaigns and are excited by the opportunity to take on greater ownership.
  • Run events across different formats and sizes, from intimate dinners and roundtables to conferences, sponsorships and larger community experiences.
  • Worked with partnerships, sponsorships or external stakeholders and know how to create value beyond simply turning up with a logo and a stand.
  • Operated in markets where buyers are thoughtful, relationships matter and trust takes time to build.
  • Sold to or marketed into professional services, real estate, financial services, consulting, legal, accounting or similarly relationship-driven B2B markets.
  • Worked alongside sales, growth or commercial teams, ensuring events contribute to meaningful business outcomes.
  • Brings energy, creativity and ambition to everything you do. You care deeply about creating events that people genuinely want to attend and talk about afterwards.
  • Gets excited by turning unusual ideas into reality and isn't limited by how events have always been done.
  • Is happy getting into the weeds of delivery, because you know great events are won or lost in the details.
  • Can execute a clear vision exceptionally well while developing your own ideas and point of view over time.
  • Reads a room and adapts quickly. You've changed formats, tried new approaches and aren't precious when something isn't working.
  • Is someone we'd trust with a budget, our brand and a room full of senior decision-makers.
  • Is based in New York City and happy to travel across the US and internationally when needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Selling to or marketing into professional services, real estate, financial services, consulting, legal, accounting or similarly relationship-driven B2B markets.
  • Building communities, networks or event programmes from scratch rather than simply maintaining an existing calendar.
  • Working in a startup environment where the brief evolves and there isn't a playbook to follow.

Responsibilities

  • Own our events end to end, from an intimate 20 person dinner in NYC to our first roundtable in Singapore. You’ll decide and deliver the format, guest list, programming, logistics and follow-up.
  • Own how 5D shows up at external events, from large forums like CREtech and PERE to local sessions like Bisnow, and decide where sponsorship and attendance actually earn their keep.
  • Secure speaking and sponsorship slots that put 5D in front of the right rooms, not just the biggest ones.
  • Build and own our relationships with industry bodies across the US and APAC, and turn them into a steady source of leads and community growth.
  • Use partnerships to grow the 5D community at both the user and buyer level, and to bring ICP aligned audiences to our owned events.
  • Design and run community initiatives for both audiences: the buyers who decide, and the users who live in the product.
  • Turn one-off attendees into a community that shows up next time, and brings someone with them.
  • Build the playbook, so everything you learn becomes a system the team can scale.
