About The Position

Shootday is seeking event videographers in Charleston for paid freelance assignments. The videographer captures memorable moments at a range of events and delivers high-quality raw video footage; editing is handled by Shootday. Assignments may include corporate functions, product launches, and social gatherings. Videographers use their own professional camera gear, guide participants and set up shots, and communicate with clients and the Shootday team. Scheduling is flexible: videographers may accept or decline assignments based on their availability. Shootday provides project operations, including editing, logistics, and client communication, and offers professional support and opportunities for repeat assignments and career growth.

Requirements

• Proven experience in event videography with a strong portfolio.
• Good communication skills and a professional attitude.
• Ability to work in different environments and event types.
• Reliable transportation to event locations.
• Strong technical skills with videography equipment.
• Ability to work well with others when needed.
• A videography degree or equivalent experience.
• Located in or able to commute to Charleston.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.
• Own and maintain videography gear, such as video stabilizers (gimbals) and high-quality microphones.
