About The Position

Shootday is seeking event videographers in Hartford for paid freelance assignments. The role involves capturing memorable moments at a variety of events and delivering high-quality raw video footage; Shootday handles the editing. Videographers use their own professional equipment and may work with other videographers. Assignments are accepted or declined based on availability, with compensation of $40–$50 per hour.

Requirements

• Be located in or able to commute to Hartford.
• Have legal authorization to work in the United States.
• Have proven event videography experience and a strong portfolio.
• Have good communication skills and a professional attitude.
• Be able to work in different environments and event types.
• Have reliable transportation to event locations.
• Have strong technical skills with videography equipment.
• Own and maintain videography gear, such as video stabilizers and high-quality microphones.
• Be able to work well with others when needed.
• Have a videography degree or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Capture and deliver high-quality raw video footage on time.
• Cover events including corporate functions, product launches, and social gatherings.
• Capture key moments, candid shots, and the atmosphere of each event.
• Adapt filming to the specific needs of each event.
• Collaborate with other videographers when needed.
• Use professional camera gear, including cameras, lenses, video stabilizers, and high-quality microphones.
• Guide participants and set up shots for effective results.
• Communicate effectively with clients and the Shootday team.
