About The Position

Shootday is seeking talented event videographers in New Orleans for paid freelance assignments. Videographers capture memorable moments at a range of events and deliver high-quality raw video footage that tells compelling visual stories; Shootday handles the editing. This role is paid per assignment, with an advertised rate of $40–$50 per hour. Scheduling is flexible: videographers may accept or decline assignments based on their availability. Shootday provides project operations, including editing, logistics, and client communication, and offers opportunities to work with clients ranging from Fortune 100 companies to startups.

Requirements

• Proven experience in event videography and a strong portfolio.
• Good communication skills and a professional attitude.
• Ability to work in different environments and at different types of events.
• Reliable transportation to event locations.
• Strong technical skills with videography equipment.
• Ability to work well with others when needed.
• A videography degree or equivalent experience.
• Located in or able to commute to New Orleans.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.
• Own and maintain videography gear, such as video stabilizers (gimbals) and high-quality microphones.

Responsibilities

• Capture high-quality RAW video footage on time.
• Cover a variety of events, including corporate functions, product launches, and social gatherings.
• Capture key moments, candid shots, and the atmosphere of each event.
• Adapt the videography approach to the needs of each event.
• Collaborate with other videographers when needed.
• Use professional camera gear, including cameras, lenses, video stabilizers (gimbals), and high-quality microphones.
• Guide participants and set up shots to achieve the best results.
• Communicate effectively with clients and the Shootday team.
