About The Position

Oak View Group is hiring part-time Event Staff at PPL Center. This role patrols the property and parking lots, secures doors, and helps ensure the safety of guests, employees, and contract labor. Event Staff also help secure the property during event, trade show, and convention move-ins and move-outs. The position supports a positive guest experience and enforces PPL Center rules, regulations, and policies while providing customer service. The hourly rate is $13.00–$13.50. The position will remain open until December 31, 2026.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Effective communication skills.
Ability to interact with guests and staff in a professional and friendly manner.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and select holidays.
Ability to stand or walk constantly for extended periods.
Comfort working in moderate to loud noise levels.

Responsibilities

Greet guests in a friendly and courteous manner.
Attend to the assigned position during events.
Secure entrance doors, escalators, stairwells, lobbies, and backstage areas.
Know the building layout, including restrooms and exits.
Know the rules and regulations for admittance to the assigned area.
Know all authorized credentials.
Monitor guests and enforce rules.
Assist with crowd management, seating discrepancies, clearing aisles, and settling disputes.
Inform the Supervisor of developing problems.
Respond to incidents quickly and professionally.
Remain aware of special functions and activities taking place during events.
