About The Position

The Event Specialist is a key contributor to the Berkley One brand experience and is responsible for planning, managing, and executing agent, client, employee, and community events that bring the Berkley One story to life. This role translates business objectives into organized, brand-aligned experiences that strengthen relationships, support engagement goals, and grow Berkley One's network and business. The ideal candidate can independently manage event strategy, logistics, budgets, vendors, registration, attendee communications, and post-event measurement while partnering effectively with Marketing, Distribution, and business teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Hospitality, Event Management, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
  • 3+ years of successful event planning, marketing program management, or related marketing experience, preferably within a high-growth luxury product or service environment
  • Experience contributing to a high-performing marketing, events, or brand development team
  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage event projects, coordinate stakeholders, and deliver high-quality experiences with minimal supervision
  • Strong customer-focused mindset with a passion for creating thoughtful and polished brand experiences for insureds and agents
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to adapt communication style to various audiences and situations
  • Strong project management skills, including experience managing timelines, budgets, vendors, logistics, attendee communications, and competing priorities
  • Strong organizational skills, accountability, integrity, and follow-through
  • Ability to travel

Responsibilities

  • Plan, manage, and execute agent, client, employee, and community events from concept through completion while ensuring alignment with Berkley One's brand, business objectives, and audience needs
  • Develop and maintain event project plans, timelines, run-of-show documents, task trackers, and communication plans to keep stakeholders informed and projects on schedule
  • Coordinate venue sourcing, vendor selection, contract inputs, catering, audiovisual requirements, transportation, accommodations, materials, shipping, and on-site logistics
  • Manage event budgets, invoices, and payment processes while tracking expenses and identifying opportunities to improve cost effectiveness without compromising attendee experience
  • Create and manage registration processes, attendee lists, RSVP tracking, name badges, event websites or platforms, pre-event communications, and post-event follow-up activities
  • Partner with Marketing colleagues to develop event themes, invitations, email communications, social media content, presentations, signage, promotional materials, and branded event assets
  • Translate business priorities into event experiences and communications that clearly convey Berkley One's value proposition to agents, clients, and employees
  • Serve as the primary event lead for assigned programs, coordinating internal stakeholders and external vendors to resolve issues, manage changes, and deliver high-quality experiences
  • Support internal meetings, including All Hands calls and executive-led meetings, through agenda coordination, materials preparation, production support, speaker support, and follow-up actions
  • Measure event effectiveness through attendance, engagement, stakeholder feedback, budget performance, and post-event evaluations
  • Analyze event results and provide recommendations to improve future event performance and attendee experience
  • Improve event processes, tools, templates, and vendor workflows to increase efficiency, consistency, and quality across the event portfolio
  • Research industry event trends, engagement strategies, and best practices to identify innovative ideas that create memorable experiences for agents, clients, and employees
  • Participate in special marketing projects as assigned
