About The Position

The Event Set-up/Cleaner sets up and tears down events ranging from small gatherings of 10 people to occasions with up to 750 attendees. The role includes cleaning before, during, and after events, with additional cleaning coverage as needed. Duties also include operating floor equipment, taking on special roles when campus setups are limited, and removing snow and applying salt around campus, including on weekends. The schedule is flexible, with a weekly shift assignment that may change. The employee must be available daily and able to work seven days a week when needed during busy periods. The position may be assigned to either the first or second shift. Scioto Services, a Marsden Holding Company, provides facility services to businesses across the United States. No experience is required. Full-time benefits are available after 30 days, and DailyPay is offered.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Must possess a valid driver's license and proof of insurance.
Must be able to drive a box truck.
Basic English proficiency is required for safety reasons.
Must complete a pre-employment criminal background check and drug screen.
Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds.
Must have reliable transportation and a dependable means of communication.
Must be available daily and able to work seven days a week when needed.

Responsibilities

Set up and tear down events for groups ranging from 10 to 750 attendees.
Clean before, during, and after events.
Clean restrooms.
Take out the trash.
Sanitize and dust surfaces.
Sweep and mop floors.
Operate floor equipment.
Perform special roles when campus setups are limited.
Remove snow and apply salt around campus, including on weekends.
Provide extra cleaning coverage when needed, including during call-offs or slower setup periods.
