About The Position

Join the Department of Agriculture as a temporary Event Services Operations Staff member. In this active position, you will help prepare, maintain, and support events across the Farm Show Complex. Your work keeps the facility clean, organized, and ready for visitors and exhibitors! This position supports year-round events and facility operations by performing cleaning, maintenance and setup tasks throughout the Farm Show Complex.

Requirements

Must be able to perform essential job functions.

Nice To Haves

Experience working around animals and livestock with exposure to dirt, dust, and hay.
Work different shifts in a 7 day-a-week vendor-controlled environment.
Perform duties in various types of adverse weather conditions.

Responsibilities

Assemble, place, and tear down tables, chairs, stages, pens, and other event equipment
Sweep, mop, scrub, and disinfect floors, restrooms, pens, and facility areas
Remove trash, snow, debris, and other materials from walkways, parking areas, and grounds
Clean stalls, move bedding materials, and remove manure during and after shows
Use basic tools, operate cleaning equipment, and move heavy items safely
Maintain meeting rooms, common areas, and workspaces to keep them clean and organized
